LUNCH: On the days we are open for tours, thorough-out the year we also have food for sale in our onsite farm Shop. There is a selection of our own cured meats, salads and bread available for antipasto. We also have a selection of fresh meat from our own farm available to purchase and cook yourself on the BBQs we have available. There is seating and tables available for your use. On other days the same facility can be arranged by prior agreement.
DINNER: During June, July & August on Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings we have 'Aperitivo Aperto' an opportunity to dine with table service that includes a huge selection of antipasto plates with wine included. for more information follow this link
PICNIC/BBQ: If you prefer to cater for yourself, within the entry price you are also welcome to use our Picnic and BBQ facilities. Charcoal can be purchased from the farm shop along with drinks or other items you may wish to add to the food and drink you bring with you.
PLEASE NOTE: Use of Plastic plates, cups and cutlery is prohibited on the farm. Environmentally friendly alternatives are available for sale in our farm shop.
Parking, Accessibility, Facilities, What to wear & More.
Parking: There is ample parking at the farm. The entrance road is unsurfaced currently while we wait for the local council to tarmac it. Care needs to be taken when visiting in vehicles that have low ground clearance.
Accessibility: We are currently building a toilet block that will include disabled facilities. Less able visitors can be dropped off closer to the visitor areas of the farm however there are areas of the farm and the tour that may not be suitable for less abled visitors. Visitors in wheelchairs while not be able to complete the full tour due to the terrain. However, wheelchair users can access many of the animals on the farm, while visiting, as long as the wheelchair is suitable for use outdoors on grass and gravel.
Facilities: The farm facilities are currently being enhanced and expanded. We currently have a number of facilities available including: Potable water point, BBQ area, covered and uncovered seating areas, playground area (with climbing frame, slide, swings and sandpit), outdoor chemical toilets. For people visiting with babies, we can also provide access to heat food, water and to change nappies.
What to wear: The farm is a predominantly outdoor experience, Clothing should be appropriate to the season and weather but at all times of year we recommend suitable outdoor, closed-toe footwear. Flip-flops, high-heeled shoes and sandals are not recommended. In the summer the farm can be cooler in the evening and we recommend bringing a sweater or jacket in case there is a cooler breeze.
